This past week in Spanish we watched a movie that related us as Americans and our education to other countries education. There are 2 million minutes that pass by while you are in high school. The movie really caught my attention, because I thought America had a tough education system and strict parents, but other countries study and go to school all day long, therfor they learn more. Other countries teach students many things that we dont learn here in the United States, but I look at it as its a different country right? So therefor the United States education system will be different than other countries. I think that us as Americans are prepared for real life after graduating from High School due to the standards that we have to pass. We go to school 35 hours a week and that is plenty of time for us to learn what we need to learn that day. This leaves us enough time to get out of school and go home and work and study. Other students in other countries dont work, they just got to school from sun up to sun down and study all day long. I think that is not the right way to teach students the things they need to know. The move 2 million minutes showed me how other countries are different from how we are, and it showed me to appreciate how our country does things.
